Rosneft will invest 10 billion dollars in its projects in Venezuela

The Russian oil group Rosneft will invest 10 billion dollars in its projects in Venezuela, said Wednesday in Caracas Group
CEO Igor Setchine.

According to him, the total production in joint projects with the Venezuelan PDVSA, including 6 Junin and Carabobo 2 should reach 50 million tonnes. At the moment Russian companies participate in five mining projects in Venezuela.

For its part, the Venezuelan Minister of energy and petroleum Rafael Ramirez said that Rosneft had asked Caracas to allow it to buy back the share of Surgutneftegaz in the national oil Consortium (NNK), as well as Venezuelan TNK - BP assets. According to him, these requests will be honored.

According to M.Ramirez, common investments in russo-venezueliens projects will be $ 46 billion.
