Gazprom and Lukoil want to exploit a deposit in the Caspian Sea

 
The energy giant Gazprom and the oil company Lukoil have managed to obtain the right to operate the Tsentralnoie deposit on the continental shelf of the Caspian Sea.

Lukoil has won the right to explore the continental shelf of the Caspian Sea almost 20 years ago. A joint venture with Gazprom was created 10 years ago. However work on the deposit were arrested following disputes with the Kazakhstan.
On 8 February, Russian president Vladimir Poutine proposes to meet the president of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev to discuss cooperation between the two countries.
