The
German energy group Wintershall discovered in Norway sea a a reserve that may contain between 3 and 20 million m3 of exploitable natural gas,
announced Thursday the Norwegian Petroleum Directorate.
The licence owners will now study this discovery in terms of other nearby discoveries, said the organization in a press release.
This new gas reserve is located between Tyrihans and another discovery. Common infrastures might be created for a better distribution of the gas.
Wintershall, a subsidiary of BASF, a German chemist which
holds 50% of the license, the other project partners are Faroe Petroleum (30%)
and Centrica (20%).
